AU version of Shun Kurosaki for the "Arc-V Mew AU", an Arc-V alternate universe based on elements of the magical girl anime series Tokyo Mew Mew.

Three years ago, Academia first tested their "Chimera Animals" - mutant creatures created by fusing living creatures with small parasites referred to in this universe as mutators (obviously enough), infusors or simply as the parasites they are. They chose to do this in Heartland City, and with confusion and fear rife, blame was turned on one boy who had shown the power to create these mutations for years beforehand - Yuuto. After Shun's parents died in the attack, he fled Heartland with Yuuto and Ruri to avoid retribution, and discovered Academia was responsible for destroying their home. During their three years on the run, Ruri made Shun a Mu Aqua necklace (a pendant containing a form of pure water which serves as a potent healing agent, capable of healing humans and Chimera Animals), Yuuto mutated a young, dying falcon into Rise, a Chimera Animal who eventually became Shun's close companion, and Shun protected the two of them from harm, though there were near misses with Academia now after Ruri.

One month before the story begins, the three are separated in an attack in Maiami City; Ruri is kidnapped and Yuuto severely injured, Shun thinking him dead and hunting down those of Leo Corporation, the company they believed to be behind Academia, until they find each other again along with the fledgling Mew team, at that point made up of Yuzu and Masumi. He and Yuuto are asked by Yoko, the lead scientist on the project, to live above the cafe they use as a cover for the operation for its protection, and they generally help the Mews out with missions and dispatching Chimera Animals.
